Pickup, Transport, and Disposal of Bio-Hazardous Medical Waste Service

The government authority located in Indianapolis, Indiana is seeking a contractor to provide pickup, transport, and disposal services for bio-hazardous medical waste. The agency needs to solve the problem of managing and safely disposing of regulated medical waste generated from accidents, laboratory testing, forensics, contaminated animal waste, medical emergencies, and other sources. This waste includes gloves, masks, cloths, apparel, needles, syringes, and other items contaminated by blood or bodily fluids. The scope of work requires the contractor to coordinate with using locations to ensure smooth operations and recommend ways to streamline the collection, transfer, storage, and disposal process. The contractor must supply proper containers based on volume and waste type, pack waste materials on-site that are properly stored in containers, and provide a completed bio-hazardous medical waste manifest for transportation. Additionally, the contractor must dispose of the collected waste at a permitted treatment or disposal facility, while the using agency signs the manifest as the generator. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States of America. Performance of the work will take place both onsite and offsite, and bidders may submit their responses digitally via email or online.
