Wet Lime Sludge Removal and Disposal Service

The City of Delray Beach Utilities Department in Florida is seeking a contractor to provide wet lime sludge removal and disposal services for its water treatment plant. The agency needs to maintain continuous water treatment operations without interference while ensuring the safe transport and disposal of all wet lime sludge produced at the facility. The selected contractor must manage the entire removal process, which includes transporting the wet sludge off-site by truck to a contractor-selected landfill and providing copies of weight tickets from the disposal facility for each truckload. The scope of work requires the contractor to obtain and maintain all necessary permits for the transport and disposal of the lime sludge. The agency requires a minimum of twenty-four hours of notice before any pickup occurs at the water treatment plant. In the event of any accidental or intentional spillage on or off the city site, the contractor must completely remove the spilled material and sanitize the affected area. The agency is establishing a contract period of three years for these services. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States, and the performance of the work must take place onsite at the facility in Delray Beach, Florida.
