Pickup, Transport, and Disposal of Bio-Hazardous Medical Waste Service

The government authority located in Indianapolis, Indiana is seeking a contractor to provide pickup, transport, and disposal services for bio-hazardous medical waste. The agency needs to solve the problem of managing and safely disposing of regulated medical waste generated from accidents, laboratory testing, forensics, contaminated animal waste, medical emergencies, and other sources. This waste includes gloves, masks, cloths, apparel, needles, syringes, and other items contaminated by blood or bodily fluids. The scope of work requires the contractor to coordinate with using locations to streamline the collection, transfer, storage, and disposal process. The contractor must supply proper containers based on volume and waste type, pack materials on-site, and transport the waste. Additionally, the contractor must provide completed bio-hazardous medical waste manifests for the agency to sign as the generator, and dispose of the waste at a permitted treatment or disposal facility. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States of America. Performance of the work will take place both onsite and offsite. Bidders must submit proposals digitally via email or online, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget. The contract period will run for two years.
