Rural Decentralized Water Grant Program System

The Rural Utilities Service seeks proposals for a Rural Decentralized Water Grant Program System. The system will provide loans and sub-grants to eligible individuals for individually owned water well and wastewater systems. Funds may be used for construction, refurbishment, rehabilitation, or replacement of these systems. The work will be performed offsite. Eligibility is limited to onshore US organizations. The funding opportunity number is RDRUS-26-DWS2. Applications will be accepted starting July 24, 2026, and must be submitted by 11:59 PM Eastern Time on September 30, 2026, via www.grants.gov. Approximately $11,000,000 is anticipated to be available, with $1,000,000 designated for wastewater system sub-grants.
