Security Guard Services

The government authority located in Huntington, WV requires a vendor to provide security guard services on-site. The vendor must supply a minimum of two armed guards equipped with firearms and tasers or conducted energy devices. The guards will work a staggered schedule Monday through Friday, excluding City holidays, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., taking breaks at separate times. Duties include arriving 30 minutes prior to business hours to conduct a security sweep, maintaining one visible guard in the first-floor hallway near the public entrance, conducting interior and exterior building walkthroughs, and staying 30 minutes after business hours for a final sweep. The vendor must also provide two guards for after-hour meetings, who will perform post-meeting sweeps and remain until all personnel leave. Guards must immediately report illegal activity and assist staff during emergencies or evacuations. To qualify, eligible bidders must be an onshore USA organization.
