The Town of Jay seeks proposals from qualified, licensed realtors to provide real estate brokerage services primarily to assist in disposing of tax and sewer-acquired properties under 36 MRS § 943-C. The selected realtor will perform market analyses, execute selling strategies, negotiate parcel sales alongside the Town Manager, coordinate real estate appraisals and closings, and consult with town staff and the Select Board. Only onshore USA organizations with Maine real estate licenses in good standing are eligible to bid. Bidders must demonstrate experience with residential, commercial, and municipal foreclosure properties, and must provide proof of $1,000,000 in general liability insurance naming the town as an additional insured. Bidders must mail or deliver proposals in sealed envelopes clearly marked "Realtor Services" to the Town Office by October 13, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., as email and fax submissions will not be accepted. The Town will evaluate proposals based on qualifications, experience, and the ability to fulfill the project for a cost deemed in the town's best interest. Bidders must submit an all-inclusive commission rate, and the contract term runs from the award date until either party cancels with 60 days' notice.
