Solid Waste Hauling Service

The County of Alleghany, Virginia, seeks proposals from eligible US organizations to haul solid waste from the Island Ford Transfer Station and sludge from two regional wastewater treatment plants to Smith Gap Landfill. Vendors may submit proposals for transfer station hauling, wastewater treatment plant sludge hauling, or both service categories. Performance of the work occurs onsite in Virginia, and the contract term lasts for two years. Applicants must complete and submit the official Solid Waste Hauling Pricing Form along with required certifications regarding non-collusion, ethics, and authorization. Selected contractors and any subcontractors must possess valid Virginia insurance coverage, including compulsory Workers’ Compensation and Commercial General Liability, naming Alleghany County as an additional insured. Bidders may offer pricing with a fuel surcharge, without a fuel surcharge, or both, provided all prices remain valid for at least 60 calendar days following submission.
