The Air Force Medical Command seeks supplemental market research to identify marketplace capabilities for a device to perform cell salvage, blood conditioning, and autonomous blood return with flow rate control. The solution will help the United States Air Force safely bridge the time to surgery, address blood loss and hemorrhagic shock in austere environments, and support far forward blood transfusions without using donor blood. Large businesses, all categories of small businesses, and manufacturers are encouraged to respond, even if their products do not currently meet all 23 essential characteristics. Respondents must complete and submit RFI Response Form #1 and Form #2 via email to [email protected] by November 16, 2026, at 5:00 PM CST. Questions are due no later than November 2, 2026, at 5:00 PM CST. Staff from Operational Medicine Test and Evaluation will evaluate the submitted answers against the government requirements. The source text does not state a contract term or budget, and no contract will be awarded directly from this RFI.
