Janitorial Services

The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago requires a vendor to perform onsite janitorial services at various locations in Chicago, Illinois. Requested work includes carpet shampooing and extraction, cleaning window blinds, cleaning chair and sofa upholstery, monthly restroom floor scrubbing, and monthly staircase dusting and cleaning. The selected vendor must also supply all required cleaning compounds, detergents, soaps, disinfectants, floor wax, sealers, rags, mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners, scrubbers, pails, ladders, and related supplies. Only USA onshore organizations are eligible to bid. Bidders operating as a corporation must be authorized to do business in the state of Illinois and provide evidence of this authority before contract execution. Additionally, participating vendors must maintain primary, non-contributory insurance coverage from insurers licensed in Illinois with a Best's Credit Rating of A-, Class VII or better. Proposals must include a signed bid bond underwritten by an Illinois-licensed surety if required by the invitation to bid. The buyer will hold a pre-proposal conference on November 03, 2026. Bidders cannot cancel or withdraw submitted proposals while the buyer canvasses the submissions.
