Safety Enhancement Traffic Signal Poles Installation Service

The City of San Diego requires safety enhancement traffic signal poles installation services for the Gompers Prep 47th St project. The scope includes installing flashing beacon poles, traffic signal poles, mast arms, signal indications, audible pedestrian countdown signals, controller and cabinet, electrical meters, curb ramps, vehicle detector loops, pedestrian push buttons, interconnect cables, signs, pavement striping, and related civil, electrical, and traffic signal improvements. The contract term is one year. Eligibility is limited to USA onshore contractors, and the City will award the public works contract to the lowest responsible and reliable bidder pursuant to San Diego City Charter section 94. Bidders must comply with a Project Labor Agreement, prevailing wage rates, apprenticeship requirements, and the City's SLBE program subcontracting requirements. Bids must be submitted electronically through PlanetBids by 2:00 PM on November 19, 2026. Bidders must also submit proposals with pricing and provide required insurance, bonds, and corporate authorization within 14 days of receiving the contract form.
