USDA Forest Service RFI for SILVAH Version 8 and 9 C Plus Plus Software Coding Services

The USDA Forest Service is conducting market research through a Request for Information to identify capable small business sources to provide SILVAH software coding services. The buyer needs a vendor to repair SILVAH version 8 in C++ code and collaborate with scientific staff to produce a new SILVAH version 9 that combines features from versions 7 and 8. Work will be performed offsite, and participation in this RFI is voluntary and uncompensated. Only US small business organizations are eligible to respond. Interested vendors must email a response package—including company details, a capability statement, and answers to specific RFI questions regarding C++ coding experience, staffing, and past projects—to [email protected] by 3:00 pm EST on November 11, 2026. All questions regarding this RFI must be submitted no later than 3:00 pm EST on November 4, 2026.
