City of Lawrence Commercial Aeronautical Hangar Leasing Services RFP

The City of Lawrence is seeking proposals for commercial aeronautical hangar leasing services at the Lawrence Regional Airport. The selected proposer will lease an approximately 2,900-square-foot hangar and an approximately 540-square-foot office space primarily to provide approved aeronautical services or aviation-related activities. Minimum acceptable annual rental rates are established at $3.61 per square foot for the hangar and $10.00 per square foot for the office space, and the resulting contract period will be five years. Only US organizations are eligible to submit proposals for this onsite work. Proposals must identify the intended aeronautical services, target customers, required equipment, operating hours, and a schedule for commencing operations. Additionally, the proposer is responsible for obtaining all necessary licenses, permits, certifications, and required insurance, including Commercial General Liability coverage. A non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting will take place on November 5, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Questions must be submitted by November 13, 2026, at 12:00 PM, and final proposals are due by November 24, 2026, at 3:30 PM. Submissions can be sent digitally via email or online.
