Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership Program Service

The District of Columbia government is seeking a vendor to provide outdoor recreation legacy partnership program services. The agency aims to deliver recreation opportunities in low-income communities where park access is currently inadequate to meet local needs. This initiative intends to foster outdoor recreation and public land volunteerism while supporting innovative, cost-effective methods to enhance parks, recreation opportunities, and service delivery. The scope of work covers supporting park and recreation programming provided by local governments, including cooperative agreements with community-based eligible nonprofit organizations. The selected vendor must develop Native American event sites and cultural gathering spaces as part of the project. Additionally, the project must provide environmental and community benefits such as community resilience, reduction of urban heat islands, enhanced water or air quality, or habitat for fish and wildlife, or facilitate any combination of these goals. The agency requires that the performing organization be located onshore within the United States. All work under this contract will be performed offsite.
