Mobile Computer Aided Dispatch Agents

The agency is seeking mobile computer-aided dispatch (CAD) agents for four fire department vehicles located in Port McNeill, BC. This project aims to enhance operational readiness, improve situational awareness, and support Next Generation 911 interoperability. The scope of work includes the supply, installation, and commissioning of hardware and software. Hardware requirements encompass rugged tablets or mobile data terminals, vehicle-rated mounts, wiring, power conditioning, antennas, modems, and connectivity equipment. Software includes mobile CAD agent licenses for four vehicles, integration with the existing CAD system, NG911-compatible data exchange, AVL/GPS mapping, and secure authentication with encrypted communications. Installation and integration involve configuring the system to dispatch specifications and testing with the dispatch center. The agency also requires end-user and administrator training, along with user manuals and quick-reference guides. Ongoing support and maintenance, including hardware warranty, software support, and service-level expectations for outages, are part of the request. Performance of the work will be offsite. Eligibility is restricted to Canadian organizations only. The agency is looking for proposals, and all questions must be submitted no later than July 24, 2026.
