Public Art Technician Services

The buyer requires a public art technician to maintain, repair, and monitor its artwork collection for a one-year contract period. The selected vendor must clean metal sculptures, perform touch-up painting, reapply protective coatings on wood, and wax bronze sculptures. Tasks also include documenting artwork conditions with before-and-after photos, monitoring for theft or vandalism, and coordinating work with artists, fabricators, consultants, and conservators. The buyer allows optional custom mosaic-work. Vendors must recommend and execute conservation treatments alongside professional conservators when necessary and perform related duties requested by program staff. The buyer limits eligibility strictly to USA organizations. Technicians will perform duties both onsite and offsite. The buyer accepts proposals to determine the budget. Bidders must submit all questions by September 8, 2026.
