The selected vendor must assign a medical director to supervise and hold direct responsibility for the medical performance of all agency emergency medical responders, EMTs, paramedics, and hazardous materials personnel. The medical director must maintain 24/7 availability for online medical control via county-provided radio or telephone, staff the emergency operations center during declared emergencies as part of the operations team, and deliver clinical oversight for medication formulary management, utilization, and safety initiatives as requested by the Chief of EMS.
