Workers Compensation Legal Counsel Services

The County requires a vendor to provide workers' compensation legal counsel services. The selected contractor must represent the County at all Workers' Compensation hearings and proceedings, provide advice to Department personnel, and prepare Board arguments and appeals. Scope of work includes managing medical and lay testimony, conducting depositions, preparing and serving subpoenas, and collaborating with the County on resolution strategies and settlements, which require prior written approval. The contractor must assign a specific attorney to supervise performance and coordinate daily with the Department. All work will occur offsite at the vendor's office premises. To be eligible, the vendor must be a United States organization. All assigned attorneys must be employees of the contractor and members in good standing of the state bar. The County seeks proposal pricing, with subpoena expenses billed according to the Cost Proposal. Vendors must submit all questions no later than October 2, 2026.
