Waste Collection Services

Carbon County requires two separate exclusive contracts for solid waste collection, transportation, and disposal starting January 1, 2027. Contract 1 covers weekly curbside household waste collection in unincorporated county areas using contractor-furnished containers, with direct resident billing. Contract 2 covers dumpster collections at Scofield Reservoir, landfill transfer station roll-off dumpsters, and designated county facilities. USA organizations provide all labor, vehicles, tools, equipment, and facilities, while the county directly pays tippage fees at approved disposal facilities. Bidders may bid on one or both contracts but must submit a separate sealed bid for each. Applicants must mail or deliver physical bids to the Carbon County Clerks' office in Price, Utah, prior to 3:00 p.m. on October 21, 2026, as faxed and emailed bids are not accepted. Bids must include stated pricing, unit and billing bases, and proposed annual price adjustments. The county evaluates bids based on which proposal provides the best service and price, reserving the right to reject any or all bids.
