Metropolitan Council Request for Proposals for Collision Avoidance System Pilot

The Metropolitan Council is soliciting proposals for vendors to pilot Collision Avoidance System technology on three Metro Transit buses. The selected vendor will provide the collision avoidance system for a 90-day demonstration period to evaluate system performance, collect data, and assess how effectively the technology operates in Minnesota climate conditions. Performance of the work will occur offsite at the vendor's office premises. Eligibility is restricted to onshore United States organizations only. Interested vendors must attend a pre-proposal meeting on October 28, 2026, at 10:30 AM, and submit any questions by November 5, 2026. Proposals are due by Friday, November 13, 2026, at 12:00 PM.
