Unarmed Security Guard Services

The Rhode Island government authority is seeking unarmed security guard services to secure its facilities, campuses, and individual properties. The agency needs to solve the problem of unauthorized access, theft, and property damage by staffing entry control points and patrolling all premises, including parking lots, on foot or by motor vehicle. Security personnel must monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings, manage incidents, and maintain daily logs of activities and irregularities. The agency requires that all assigned personnel successfully pass a national criminal history check through fingerprint verification to ensure they are free from felony and misdemeanor convictions. Bidders must also certify that all staff have passed a drug screening of urine samples for marijuana, amphetamines, methamphetamines, cocaine, and opiates prior to assignment. Only onshore organizations based in the United States are eligible to bid, and all work must be performed onsite. The agency is looking for budget proposals to determine the cost of these services.
