Deputy Inspectors Services

The Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance is seeking deputy inspectors to conduct inspections of one- and two-family dwellings in Nashville, Tennessee. The agency requires these services to ensure all residential inspections comply with applicable state statutes, rules, and instructions from the commissioner or delegated agents. Inspectors must perform standard inspections within three working days of a request, while footer inspections require completion within one working day of a request. To perform the work, inspectors must possess and maintain a properly functioning computer or tablet with Wi-Fi capabilities to access the state's online portal. The agency also requires inspectors to maintain a cellular phone with at least 4G mobile capability for voicemail, texting, and emailing, as well as a functioning printer to produce building inspection reports.
