Backup and Recovery Solution

The buyer requires a vendor to provide implementation, transition, and ongoing support for a SaaS Enterprise Backup and Recovery solution. The proposed SaaS solution must integrate with the agency's existing infrastructure, supporting workloads across VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, Proxmox, and physical servers. The buyer needs a dedicated University tenancy supporting at least 1,000 protected entities and two separate cloud storage locations with a minimum capacity of 200 TiB each. The solution must feature a web-based GUI, immutable backups, automated recovery tests, source data compression, and encryption. Migration of historical backup data is not required. Suppliers must provide an implementation plan and support a Proof of Concept environment to demonstrate backup and recovery capabilities, including VMware virtual machine recovery. Eligible bidders must be UK organizations. Bidders will perform the work offsite and submit responses digitally via email or online. The buyer seeks budget proposals. Bidders must submit all questions no later than October 7, 2026.
