Citywide Sign Inventory, Assessment, Rationalization, and Implementation Services

The City of Encinitas requires a consultant to perform citywide sign inventory, assessment, rationalization, and implementation services for city-owned signs. The selected vendor must evaluate sign panels to recommend keeping, removing, replacing, relocating, redesigning, or consolidating them, while also recommending new safety signage for locations such as trails and dangerous corners. Additionally, the consultant must provide a single GIS record per sign that details GPS coordinates, photos, categories, visibility issues, and retro-reflectivity. Only US-based onshore organizations are eligible to bid, and the performance of the work will take place onsite. Interested applicants must submit their responses digitally through email or online, and the city is currently accepting proposals to establish the project budget. Vendors must attend a pre-bid meeting on October 14, 2026, and submit all questions by October 27, 2026.
