Construction Auditing Services for San Mateo County Event Center Improvement Projects

The County of San Mateo is issuing this informal Request for Proposals to seek qualified, independent certified construction auditing firms to examine four county-funded San Mateo Event Center Improvement Projects. The scope of work includes investigating allegations of financial accountability, reviewing project management procurement, evaluating payment applications, change orders, and labor/material costs, and identifying potential overpayments or unsupported costs. The chosen firm must deliver fast-track construction auditing services within 60 days. Eligibility is limited to onshore USA organizations. Interested vendors must register and submit technical submittals, staff experience details, three client references, proof of insurance, and a detailed fee proposal electronically via the eProcurement site by November 2, 2026, at 12:00 pm. All questions must be submitted by October 28, 2026. Proposals will be evaluated based on firm qualifications (35 points), staff experience (20 points), approach and schedule (25 points), references (10 points), and cost (10 points). The resulting contract will have a one-year term with three optional one-year extensions.
