Economic Development Consultant Service — BOROUGH OF SOMERVILLE

The Borough of Somerville is seeking proposals for an Economic Development Consultant to fill a professional services position for 2027. The selected consultant will coordinate with the government authority to produce an economic development plan with established metrics. Scope of work includes preparing and reviewing market, fiscal impact, and feasibility analyses, assisting with redeveloper negotiations, downtown revitalization, and business retention and attraction. The consultant must also possess working knowledge of state and federal programs, including the Economic Redevelopment and Growth Grant Program, and have experience working with Special Improvement Districts, downtown business organizations, and grant applications. Only USA-based organizations are eligible to bid. Applicants must enclose their responses in a sealed envelope clearly marked "PROPOSAL FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES" and deliver them physically via courier or post to the Office of the Clerk-Administrator before 4:00 p.m. on November 24, 2026. Submissions must include all required forms specified in the request for proposals.
