About this opportunity
AI summaryThe government issues this Request for Information to seek input from industry regarding capabilities, interest, and options for providing a solar-observing Geostationary extReme UltraViolet Imager (GRUVI) Instrument for a future operational NOAA Space Weather mission. The instrument must resolve solar features such as coronal holes, filaments, prominences, active regions, coronal mass ejections, and X10 Class solar flares to support space weather forecasts and alerts. Contractor support is required to perform a Phase A study and to assess industry capability to manufacture the instrument. The government anticipates multiple awards for the fixed-price Formulation/Risk reduction phase and may include options to extend the performance period or retire implementation risk. Interested parties must submit all responses, comments, and questions electronically via email to Kelly Lytton no later than 5:00pm EDT on December 3, 2026. The government does not request proposals under this notice.
