Vessel Removal, Towing, Impoundment and Disposal Service

The City of Miami Beach is seeking applications from onshore U.S. marine salvage contractors to establish a prequalification pool for vessel removal, towing, impoundment, and disposal services. Prequalified contractors will be solicited on an as-needed basis over a five-year contract period to address vessels in public waters that violate City Code Section 66-156 or impede navigation. To be considered for the pool, interested parties must submit a completed Bidder Prequalification Application (Appendix A) and register immediately with Bidnet Direct. Prospective bidders must maintain adequate licenses or certifications to pull necessary work permits and must conduct background checks on all personnel. Awarded vendors must provide a written scope of work for each specific project before receiving a City-issued purchase order, which serves as the notice to proceed. Reimbursements for permit costs require proof of cost, and contractors must submit proof of proper vessel disposal and picture documentation prior to receiving payment.
