Deputy Inspectors Services

The Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance is seeking a contractor to provide deputy inspector services in Nashville, Tennessee. The contractor must act as an issuing agent upon authorization by the commissioner and provide at least one individual to issue state electrical and building permits. This individual must issue permits in accordance with all applicable state statutes, rules, and instructions from the commissioner or delegated agents. The contractor must manually enter all permit payment information, including electronic checks, credit or debit cards, or cash, directly into an online portal provided by the state. The contractor and any individuals performing services under this contract are strictly prohibited from storing, saving, or keeping any permit applicant's payment information. All collected permit and issuing agent fees represent state funds and must be remitted in whole to the state. The state will reimburse the issuing agent fee to the contractor once the state confirms collection of all monthly funds. Eligible bidders must perform the work onsite and must be located onshore within the United States. Bidders may submit their proposals digitally via email or through the online portal, and the agency is currently seeking budget proposals for these services.
