Additional Long-Term Care Nursing Facility Capacity Service

The agency is seeking proposals to provide additional long-term care nursing facility capacity services within South Dakota. The state aims to administer a system of long-term care services and supports in the most integrated setting appropriate for its older citizens and persons with disabilities. The project covers the reallocation of 991 nursing facility beds to meet identified needs statewide. Proposals will be evaluated upon submission and in the order received, with a preference for those addressing specific special care needs and demonstrating a commitment to developing home and community-based services. Bidders must verify that their nursing facility is Medicare-certified, Medicaid-certified, or both, or has skilled nursing services available on-site as part of its normal delivery. The nursing facilities must accept residents with complex medical conditions or increased care levels requiring specialized equipment and increased staff resources. Facilities must meet all statutorily mandated occupancy rates no later than the end of the state fiscal year following the licensing of additional beds. Eligibility requires bidders to be an Onshore (USA Organization Only). The performance of the work will be Offsite. The agency is looking for proposals and has not specified a budget. Proposals are due no later than June 30, 2027, at 5:00 PM CST.
