Food Recovery Network Platform

The buyer requires a service provider to deliver and operate a secure regional food recovery network platform for a five-year contract period. The selected vendor must customize a platform—delivered via digital tools, a concierge/hotline model, or a hybrid approach—that connects regional food organizations with users to rescue, resell, upcycle, and donate edible food. Scope of work includes recruiting partner organizations, promoting the network, delivering education and outreach, offering technical support, and tracking data on food diversion and climate benefits. The provider must scale the network across the supply chain, prioritizing nutritious food for people, then animals, and then compost. Eligible bidders must be Canadian organizations. The work will occur offsite, and vendors can submit proposals digitally via email or online. The buyer is currently seeking budget proposals. Bidders must submit all questions no later than October 15, 2026.
