Baggage Handling System and Terminal Expansion

The Cedar Rapids Airport Commission requires construction of an approximately 25,500 square-foot building expansion and associated architectural, structural, mechanical, fire protection, plumbing, electrical, technology, sitework, and baggage handling equipment installation at The Eastern Iowa Airport. Bidders must submit unit price bids for this project. Eligibility is limited to USA organizations. Bidders must deliver sealed bids with a five percent bid security to the office of the Airport Director by 10:00 a.m. local time on October 20, 2026. A pre-bid meeting will occur on October 5, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. The buyer will evaluate proposals and award the contract to the responsive and responsible bidder submitting the lowest aggregate sum proposal. The buyer anticipates a late start date of March 29, 2027, requiring substantial completion within 365 calendar days and final completion 120 calendar days after substantial completion. Bidders must submit proposals looking for a budget, and the contract award depends on receiving Federal funding assistance.
