Microfilm Scanner Equipment Supply

The government authority located in Saskatchewan needs a vendor to supply microfilm scanner equipment to replace existing devices in its reading room. The primary goal is facilitating direct public and staff access to examine, scan, and print individual pages from a collection of approximately 80,000 microfilm and microfiche records. The mandatory scope requires hardware and software compatible with Windows 11 that can view, scan, capture, zoom, focus, rotate, print, and save images locally in PDF format in black and white. Mandatory capabilities include reading, digitally scanning, USB saving, and paper printing for positive/negative 35mm microfilm reels and 105mm x 148mm microfiche; 16mm reel compatibility, color viewing, and JPEG or TIFF formats are optional. Eligibility is restricted onshore to Canada. The performance of the work will take place onsite, and the contract period will run for one year. Applicants must submit a proposal to provide pricing, as the buyer is looking for proposals to set the budget.
