Laboratory’s Courier Services

The South Dakota Department of Health needs courier services for the South Dakota Public Health Laboratory in Pierre, SD. The selected contractor will deliver clinical, environmental, forensic, and veterinary samples from clients statewide, providing scheduled and on-demand pickup, transportation, documentation, and securing of specimens and supplies. Only onshore US organizations are eligible to bid, and the contractor must maintain specific commercial general liability, professional liability, business automobile, and workers' compensation insurance coverages. Proposals are due by November 27, 2026, at 05:00 PM CST and can be submitted digitally via email or online. All questions must be submitted no later than October 29, 2026, and all offerors must submit a Letter of Intent. Bidders must submit a technical response, a cost proposal using transparent pricing methodologies and required scenarios, documentation of past experience, and at least three references. The contract period will run for five years, and the state subjectively evaluates proposals based on experience, reliability, and cost comparison.
