Professional Engineering Services

The City of Okeechobee, Florida seeks State of Florida licensed Civil Engineers to provide professional engineering services on an as-needed basis. The scope includes traffic counts, studies, and maintenance of traffic design, as well as roadway location, alignment, and design. Additional required services encompass land acquisition documents, hydrologic and hydraulic studies, storm drainage and stormwater management design, and floodplain studies. Eligible applicants include qualified, onshore US individuals or firms with at least five years of specific relevant experience and expertise. Bidders must submit one original, six copies, and one electronic copy on a flash drive to City Hall by 3:00 PM EST on November 30, 2026. The submission package must include a signed two-page transmittal letter, company profile, Standard Forms 254/255 or 330, and Attachments A through I. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting occurs on November 4, 2026, and all questions are due by November 6, 2026. The agreement term will not exceed three years, with options for two additional 3-year renewals. Submittals are evaluated based on specific experience, key personnel expertise, project approach, and past performance on similar activities in Florida.
