California State University Parking Lot E8 Repairs and EV Charging Station Installation

The Trustees of the California State University require a contractor for the Parking Lot E8 Repairs project at California State University, Long Beach. The scope of work includes the complete removal of existing four-inch asphalt pavement and the upper 18 inches of soil, placing a minimum of four inches of new asphalt over compacted non-expansive fill, installing one new EV charging station, and converting nine EV-ready stalls to full EV charging capability. The Owner's construction estimate for this project is $3,700,000. Only USA organizations with a valid California contractor's license in either the C-12 or B classification are eligible. Bidders must be prequalified with the Trustees via the PlanetBids website, register with the Department of Industrial Relations, and achieve 3% DVBE participation. Mandatory site walk attendance on November 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. is required. RFIs are due by December 1, 2026, and prequalification applications must be submitted by December 2, 2026. Sealed bid proposals must be submitted to the Design and Construction Services Office in Long Beach, CA, by 2:00 p.m. on December 16, 2026.
