Abatement Contractor Services for the City of Alexandria Community Development Department

The City of Alexandria's Community Development Department is seeking proposals from state-licensed asbestos abatement contractors to establish a rotating work order list of two contractors. Selected vendors will perform asbestos abatement and disposal services on residential and commercial structures prior to demolition within the city limits. Scope of work includes removing asbestos-containing materials such as transite siding and roofing, pipe insulation, floor tiles, sheet flooring, caulks, and tar roofing based on provided asbestos survey testing reports. Eligible applicants must be US-based, hold an active Louisiana asbestos abatement license, maintain required insurance coverages, and hold a valid Solid Waste Transporter number. Bidders must also have a City CmDv Contractor Registration number on file at least three business days prior to submission and not be listed on the SAM.gov Excluded Parties List. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for November 4, 2026. Submissions can be sent digitally via email or online, and proposals will be evaluated on a 100-point scale assessing company experience, labor and equipment capacity, past municipal projects, location proximity, past work history with CmDv, and fee schedules.
