Transportation Management Services for Children with Special Needs

The Nassau County Department of Health seeks a professional management company to provide transportation management services for approximately 1,300 children with special needs. The contractor will oversee day-to-day operations and coordination among staff, parents, the department, contractors, and educational facilities, while reviewing routes, maintaining computerized driver files, and utilizing computerized routing software to preserve vehicle load efficiencies. Eligible proposers must be qualified individuals or entities authorized to do business in the State of New York and onshore USA organizations. Proposers may submit responses digitally via email or online, with all questions due no later than November 16, 2026. The contract term spans five years, and the County will award the contract based on the technical and price terms that best meet the requirements of the RFP rather than strictly to the lowest bidder.
