Scope of work
- Defend and prosecute claims on behalf of the County on an as-needed basis
- Provide sound legal advice to limit legal exposure
- Provide an initial case analysis and litigation budget to the Passaic County Counsel at commencement of representation
- Notify Passaic County Counsel of developments resulting in budget increases
- Consult with the Passaic County Counsel on an ongoing basis
- Designate a maximum of three attorneys per case unless written approval is obtained
- Avoid double billing and keep litigation costs at a minimum
- Identify any conflict or potential conflict of interest promptly

Minimum qualifications
