Interpreter Services

The Department of Mental Health is seeking a contractor to provide sign language interpreting services twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, year-round. The agency needs these services on an as-needed basis for all agency programs and facilities statewide where deaf or hard of hearing clients are served. The agency will provide forty-eight hours of advance notice for regular assignments, while emergency requests must be met as quickly as possible. The scope of work requires the delivery of video remote interpreting services in American Sign Language within twenty minutes of a request, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. The contractor must also provide Certified Deaf Interpreter services within sixty minutes of a request on the same round-the-clock schedule.
