Interpreter Service in Education Course Delivery

The Rhode Island Department of Education is seeking a vendor to provide interpreter services in education course delivery. This initiative supports the implementation of a statewide system designed for training, assessing, and determining the qualifications of bilingual individuals to serve as interpreters in school settings. The agency requires a program that delivers a certification to participants as a trained interpreter in education. The project scope covers the delivery of an online course format requiring regular weekly synchronous interaction with the instructor and other course participants, as well as online discussion boards. The selected vendor must demonstrate access to Zoom, GoToMeeting, or similar technology sufficient to facilitate these synchronous sessions. Additionally, the vendor must ensure that every course participant completes an end-of-course evaluation and must provide data including course schedules, registrations, successful completers, and participant evaluations to the department on a timely basis. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency requires all performance of the work to be conducted offsite at the vendor's own office premises. The agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget and has not signaled a specific funding limit.
