Modular Fiber Optic Test Platform

The issuing agency is seeking a modular fiber optic test platform to provide field technicians with the tools necessary to fully certify and troubleshoot modern fiber optic networks. This system must solve the problem of network characterization and high-speed network qualification through a field-portable, battery-powered, four-slot mainframe platform housing two interchangeable optical test modules. The mainframe must support at least four separate test modules simultaneously and include at least 128 GB of internal flash memory for storing test configurations and results. The scope of work requires a specialized module capable of measuring both chromatic dispersion and polarization mode dispersion from a single unit. The optical time-domain reflectometer module must feature an intelligent link mapping capability that automatically interprets the entire fiber link and presents results as a simplified, icon-based schematic view with a pass and fail diagnosis for each detected event. For security compliance, the mainframe must not contain any built-in or integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or other radio-frequency transmitting hardware. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. The performance of all work under this contract will take place offsite. The agency is looking for proposals to establish the budget, and bidders must submit their responses digitally via email or online.
