Refuse Collection Services

The University of Kansas Medical Center Department of Purchasing requires a vendor to provide refuse collection services in Kansas City, Kansas. The requested scope covers trash, refuse, and debris removal, solid waste management, cardboard and mixed recycling, and special waste collection involving asbestos material collection and lawful disposal. The scope also includes container leasing, dumpster maintenance, temporary units, and disposal services. Eligible vendors must be an onshore USA organization. Bidders must submit one properly completed and signed copy of the Request for Quotation to the Department of Purchasing by the specified Central Time, showing all prices, items, and conditions. The buyer awards the one-year contract based on evaluation factors where offered discounts determine the low bid, unit prices prevail over extension errors, and Kansas bidders win tie awards. The Director of Purchasing reserves the right to accept or reject any quotation, waive technicalities, and award purchases by item, group, or lot. A mandatory pre-bid conference occurs on September 15, 2026.
