Fire Alarm Replacement Services

Christopher Newport University requires fire alarm replacement services for the construction of the CNU Library Fire Alarm Replacement in Newport News, VA. The scope includes upgrading remaining portions of the fire alarm system in the "Old Trible" section of the library and connecting it to the existing Simplex system in the "New Trible" section. Eligible bidders must be US-based organizations registered as vendors in eVA and registered as contractors in accordance with Section 54.1-1103 of the Code of Virginia. Bidders must submit a Bid Bond, and attendance at the mandatory pre-bid conference on October 21, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. is required to submit a bid. Pre-bid questions are due by 2:00 P.M. on October 27, 2026. Applicants must submit sealed bids by 2:00 P.M. sharp on November 10, 2026, via mail to 1 Avenue of The Arts or hand delivery to 321 Hiden Blvd., Suite 100, Newport News, VA 23606. Bids will be evaluated and awarded on a lump sum basis using the Total Base Bid Amount plus any chosen Additive Bid Items. The solicitation documents contain no contract term duration or specified budget amount.
