Jackson County Schools Technology Consortium Fiber Optic Cable Maintenance Service RFP

The Jackson County Intermediate School District, on behalf of the Jackson County Schools Technology Consortium, seeks proposals for the ongoing maintenance of its self-provisioned, district-owned fiber optic network. The network encompasses approximately 180 miles of fiber connecting local educational agency locations across Jackson and Hillsdale counties to two central ISD hubs. Vendors must provide a detailed labor rate schedule, typical crew compositions, estimated material costs, verifiable experience from the past three years including a K-12 school district, and a written 24/7/365 Emergency Response Protocol. Qualified USA-based vendors must also meet specific general liability, product liability, and workers' compensation insurance minimums. A pre-bid meeting occurs on November 10, 2026. Technical questions must be submitted by November 20, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Final proposals are due by December 4, 2026, at 1:15 p.m., followed immediately by a public bid opening.
