About this opportunity

AI summary

The 704th Test Group Aerospace Survivability and Safety Office at Wright-Patterson AFB requires an advanced testing capability to replace its legacy Tire Force Machine, which cannot meet current vertical and lateral load profiles. To address this testing gap, the buyer is initiating the Extreme Loads Tire Force Machine prototype project as a high-capacity dynamic test machine bridging high-speed dynamometer force testing and static load presses. The buyer is issuing this opportunity under 10 U.S.C. § 4022 Other Transaction Authority for Prototypes to the AEDC Velocity Alliance Consortium and industry partners via SAM.gov. Requirement documents are marked Distribution D and/or Export Controlled, requiring interested offerors to provide their CAGE code to listed points of contact to verify CMMC Level 2 (Self) and JCP certification before receiving documents via DoD SAFE.

Scope of work

  • Project Kickoff Meeting, final project management plan, and integrated master schedule
  • Initial Technical Review with baseline system requirements review documentation and risk mitigation register
  • Preliminary Design Review including preliminary design plans, 3D CAD models, FEA, and preliminary ICDs
  • Critical Design Review, production-ready CAD models, fabrication drawings, approved carriage socket drawings, and long-lead list
