Professional Services Licensed Attorney and Alternate Municipal Public Defender Services

The City of Hoboken requests proposals from qualified licensed attorneys to provide legal representation as Alternate Municipal Public Defender in accordance with municipal specifications and N.J.S.A. 2B:24-4. Selected appointees will serve as per diem non-employees for a contract term running from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2027, appearing in person for court sessions averaging two to five hours unless directed otherwise. Compensation is set at $450.00 per court session in lieu of other fees and benefits, alongside an optional $150.00 fee for court briefing packages prepared with prior written approval. Eligible USA onshore vendors must deliver sealed proposals to the City Clerk at City Hall, 94 Washington Street, Hoboken, NJ, by 11:30 AM prevailing time on December 8, 2026.
