Bakersfield FY 2027-28 CDBG, HOME, and ESG Programs Funding

The City of Bakersfield Community Development Division seeks applications from non-profits, housing developers, and for-profit organizations for fiscal year 2027-28 funding. The funding opportunity supports projects utilizing Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnerships Program, and Emergency Solutions Grants Program funds. Eligible USA-based organizations will carry out work offsite to address community development, affordable housing, and homelessness needs. HOME development projects must secure all necessary financing prior to commitment, begin construction within 12 months of commitment, and satisfy occupancy requirements within specified time limits. Selected contractors must also satisfy comprehensive indemnification terms and maintain required insurance coverages, including professional liability, commercial general liability, automobile liability, and workers' compensation. Applicants must submit their proposals by December 4, 2026, at 4:00 P.M.
