About this opportunity
AI summaryThe Department of the Air Force seeks industry Solution Briefs for an anticipated Other Transaction Agreement to repair, modernize, and sustain heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems and associated interior building systems in Facility 300 at Robins Air Force Base. The scope requires executing construction under a firm-fixed-price structure using a 100 percent Government-furnished design, resolving end-of-life HVAC equipment, peeling lead-based paint, asbestos-containing flooring, and accessibility barriers while keeping the facility partially operational. Eligible contractors must ensure all engineering, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work is performed by personnel or businesses holding a Georgia license, and companies must demonstrate at least five years of comparable construction experience. Evaluation follows a two-step process assessing written Statements of Qualifications, followed by interactive pitch presentations and price proposals from shortlisted firms to reach a best-value tradeoff selection.
Scope of work
- Replacement of the HVAC system in the Headhouse and Bay A zone of B300
- Replacement of portions of the electrical system
- Roof replacement of the Headhouse zone and Mechanical Room
- Improvement of the insulation value of the exterior walls
- Replacement of interior finishes throughout Headhouse and Bay A zones
- ADA access improvements including an accessible ramp and chair lift
- Asbestos tile, raised flooring, and hazardous materials abatement
- Phased window, exterior wall, door, and brick veneer replacement
