About this opportunity
AI summaryThe U.S. Air Force Academy requires a contractor to provide rangeland noxious weed control services across an estimated 720 acres of unimproved rangeland at the U.S. Air Force Academy and Farish Recreation Area. The contractor must spray approved herbicides to control target weeds—such as knapweed, spurge, and thistle varieties—while protecting sensitive habitats, wetlands, and cultural sites. Eligible contractors must hold a Colorado commercial applicator's license for rangeland weed control and provide a safety plan and spill response plan. The contractor must supply all labor, approved herbicides, and equipment, achieving at least 90% control within 30 days of treatment or re-spraying at no extra cost. Work must take place during the growing season from April 1 through October 31 or when weed growth conditions allow effective control. The contractor must track pesticide usage monthly, provide geo-referenced GPS mapping compatible with ArcGIS Pro, and report newly identified weed populations within five working days.
