Minnesota Department of Administration Fire Alarm System and Electrical Substation Upgrade

The Minnesota Department of Administration seeks a prime contractor for electrical construction to upgrade the fire alarm system at MCF Moose Lake. The scope entails replacing the existing electrical substation in the Smith Hall basement, installing an exterior pad-mounted transformer adjacent to the Quinn Building and a new switchboard in the basement, replacing existing fencing, and modifying the existing medium voltage feeder to connect to the new transformer. The project has an estimated value of $2,320,000.00 and an estimated completion date of January 31, 2028. Eligible responders must be onshore USA organizations with qualifying experience on at least two similar fire alarm upgrade contracts valued at $500,000 or greater substantially completed since September 1, 2021, and the project includes a 3% TG/ED/VO subcontracting goal.
